Web AR, GamificationKloud planned an on-site AR experience campaign to effectively and intuitively communicate the unique qualities of its “Kloud Non-Alcoholic” beer. Rather than simply removing alcohol, the product is crafted using a special yeast fermentation process that limits fermentation, creating a “complete” non-alcoholic beer — a key brand message the campaign was designed to convey in an engaging way.
Participants accessed the experience by scanning a QR code and completing age verification. When they pointed their camera at a Kloud beer can, an AR-generated brewing tank appeared. They could then tap on premium ingredients (malt and hops) surrounding the tank to complete the product in an interactive sequence. This immersive process allowed consumers to feel as though they were actively involved in making the beer, followed by an ad viewing and mission completion that reinforced the brand message.
Over the 2-hour-and-50-minute campaign period, 931 people participated — an average of one participant every 11 seconds — with 731 participants (78.51%) completing the ad viewing, marking a remarkably high mission completion rate. The average engagement time was approximately 30 seconds, effectively delivering the product’s message in a concise yet impactful manner.
This campaign went beyond simple ad exposure, enabling consumers to directly experience the brand’s core technology, and ultimately strengthening both brand perception and recall.
